The CW released some haunting new images this week from the upcoming episode of The Originals.

Klaus Gets 'Ferocious' With The Witches On 'The Originals' This Season 

The series doesn't come back for another week, but it looks like the network decided to offer up a little teaser with some brand new photos.

Released by The CW on Monday, the pictures come from the new episode, They All Asked For You.

The first of these images showed Klaus (Joseph Morgan) walked cautiously around a misty graveyard, perhaps for an early morning meet-up with an old enemy or new ally.

Whomever Klaus intended to meet, things took a dark turn as one of the photos showed the hybrid pulling a series of long spikes from his bleeding chest.

The last of the images showed Klaus meeting up at a bar with werewolf Aiden (Colin Woodell), who has become Jackson's (Nathan Parsons) right-hand man. Since one of Klaus' recent goals is to remove Jackson from his life and the life of his infant daughter, perhaps the hybrid is looking to somehow trick Aiden into helping him.

Klaus could, however, make an enemy of Josh (Steven Krueger) by putting his boyfriend, Aiden, in any danger. While Josh hasn't proved himself to be much of a threat so far, that could change if the one he loves is threatened.

The Originals will return on The CW for the remainder of its second season Monday, March 9 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
