A helicopter pilot received the opportunity to be a part of Star Wars: Episode VII where he revealed a good haul of details on what it was like to work on the anticipated flick.

J.J. Abrams Admits Some Rumors About 'Star Wars: Episode VII' Are True

On Sunday, The National Arts & Lifestyle posted an interview with pilot Andy Nettleton. He gave some details on his experience being involved with something where pretty much everything about it had to remain a secret.

"When you're in that bubble, you're so focused on what you're doing. Then when you leave you can't talk about it," Nettleton said. "For months, there was all this speculation. On a night out, I'd hear people talking about it but I couldn't risk word getting out."

'Episode VII' Will Be 'Worth The Wait?'

The pilot then discussed how grateful he was to work with Episode VII director J.J. Abrams.

"To be standing in a circle getting briefed by Abrams about what he wants you to do was quite a privilege," Nettleton spilled. "When he was standing next to me and asking me questions, I had to pinch myself. I thought: 'I'm about to climb into this helicopter with the director and camera crew, and I've got to get this right.'"

Nettleton also let out some costume details that ought to cause more anticipation.

"There were big fairy things, sasquatch [Chewbacca] and dwarfs dressed in ragged clothes," he said. "Between filming, you'd see Stormtroopers with the guns and helmets on. Then you go in the mess for dinner alongside extras with their headgear off, but their lower bodies covered in stuff they're wearing for the movie. They're sat at the table and everybody just mingles."

Star Wars: Episode VII hits theaters on December 18.
