On Monday, Hilary Duff took to Instagram to give her fans a sneek peak look at her spread for the mag.

The star shared the photo, captioning it: "Here's an exclusive shot from my @Cosmopolitan cover shoot, more tomorrow! X."

Duff has 2.8 million followers on the popular social networking site where she received more than 140,000 likes on the photo.

The photo featured the singer showing off her slim fram wearing short jean shorts and a black leather jacket.

The star wore a smokey eye with light pink lips and heavy contouring on her cheekbones. Her blonde hair was straightening and full as it appeared to be blowing from some wind.

She looked seductively straight at the camera for the photo that appeared on a light blue background.

Duff is currently divorcing her estranged husband, Mike Comrie, and allegedly is fighting for primary custody of their two-year-old son, Luca.

TMZ reported that the actress and singer wants Comrie to have visitation but is worried that his partying and drinking may interfere with his well-being and could adversely affect their son.

The former couple reportedly signed a prenup when they wed, but neither are struggling with finances. Duff allegedly just wants to make sure her earnings and possessions remain hers.

The two married in 2010 and when they separated, Duff's mom, Susan, reportedly said, "They're better friends than a married couple."
