"One of the things I've been exploring for the past several years was this idea of pastiche storytelling, where things don't immediately present themselves and disparate stories come together," Kring says.

Isaacs, who plays the role of Peter, recently did a behind the scenes interview with USA and talked about his role and the other characters in the show.

"Peter is man who carries a lot of scars. He's been an FBI agent for a long time and something awful happened to him; tragedy happened in his family and his counter terrorism is to get away."

The actor said that when viewers watch the show, they will be fascinated and they will always want to know what's going to happen next.

"What I love about the story is the difficult questions and all the while this complicated relationships are playing out, there's a fantastic driving plot."

Dig premieres on Thursday, March 5 at 10 p.m./ 9 p.m. central on USA. Viewers can watch a sneak peek of the new series in the video below.
