Like many fans around the world, Kerry Washington is anxiously anticipating the return of a new Scandal episode and while she hasn't seen it yet, she says she already has butterflies.

The actress, who plays the role of Washington D.C. crisis manager Olivia Pope, has been pretty quiet about the show's details as Scandal was on a week hiatus, but the show is back on Thursday with a brand new episode called 'Lawn Chair.'

On Thursday, Washington to Twitter to remind her fans that T.G.I.T, Shonda Rhimes' Thursday night show line up, is returning with a brand new episode of Scandal, and shockingly, the actress admitted that she has yet to see the new episode.

"Haven't seen tonight's episode yet," Washington tweeted. "We are screening it for cast and crew at lunch today. I already have butterflies about! Crazy. #Scandal."

Based on a new extended clip, which can be seen below, Brandon Parker, a 17-year-old African American teenager, is shot by a white police officer.

In the video, a Washington D.C. Police Chief explains that a police officer stopped Parker after he matched the description of a suspected shoplifter. The officer tried to question the teen but he pulled a knife on the officer and Parker was then shot.

Parker's father becomes furious after learning about his sons death and he shows up to the scene with a shot gun and he's eager to find the officer responsible for killing his son.
