NCIS: Los Angeles' Chris O'Donnell was the star of celebrations on Thursday.

The actor, currently known for his role as Callen on the CBS series, received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Tuesday morning.

After graduating high school, the Illinois-born performer found himself launching his acting career while earning a degree from Boston College. O'Donnell made his mark with roles in films such as Fried Green Tomatoes, Scent of a Woman, and Batman & Robin before landing recurring roles on The Practice, Grey's Anatomy, and The Company. Since 2009, O'Donnell has stared alongside LL Cool J in the Los Angeles spinoff of NCIS.

"I wouldn't trade my current job for anything," O'Donnell told Variety ahead of the ceremony. "It affords me the ability to be in Los Angeles, to see my kids every day and have a steady job. I've been doing this for almost 30 years and it's just crazy. To still be providing for my family like this is so great. And I love the people I work with."

The father of five attended his dedication with his wife, Caroline Fentress, and their children. The cast and crew of NCIS: LA also took a break from filming to support their costar.
