Stuart Gillard, the director of Beauty and the Beast revealed that he had to take a break from filming the show as he was away working on Jane the Virgin.

"#batb #beasties out of touch for two weeks - shooting #JaneTheVirgin - then I'll be back," Gillard tweeted on Tuesday.

Jane the Virgin is The CW's newest hit show and has been renewed for a second season. For Gillard it would be a job in the same network, though it would be interesting to see how he treats the show which is quite different from Beauty and the Beast.

One Of The Main Characters To Die In Season 3?

Recently, the director announced that filming for season 4 of Beauty and the Beast will begin in May.

"Hey #beasties official word - Start shooting S 4 end of May - same time as we go to air on S 3 - can't wait to read storyline #batb," hetweeted.

Gillard had previously revealed that filming would begin in June.

"What a Valentine present S 4!! You #beasties did it. You never gave up! We will start shooting around June.keep you posted#batb" he tweeted.

Deadline reported that the CW has renewed the series for another chapter. Along with this, the network also announced that season 3 would premiere on May 21.

The season 2 finale, "Deja Vu" aired on The CW at 8 p.m. on July 7.
