It looks like Gerald McRaney is set to reprise his role as Barlow Connally now that Longmire has found a new home on Netflix.

The details aren't final just yet, but McRaney is very optimistic. "We're trying to work out dates right now," confirmed the actor during an interview with Parade on Thursday.

McRaney added that he "loves" working on the popular crime drama, which has become a fan favorite on its way to cult classic over the last three years.

So has the actor seen a script? Does he have any details on the new season?

"None whatsoever," he declared. "I haven't seen a script, an outline. I haven't even heard a rumor yet."

Nonetheless, McRaney is keeping busy while producers work out the details of his Longmire return. Recently he appeared in the con-man drama Focus and will soon be starring on TNT's Agent X.

For while McRaney didn't know if he'd ever get a chance to return to Longmire, though he's glad the opportunity has arisen. In 2014 A&E cancelled the series following its third season and for months it lingered in limbo with a huge fan base and no home. Then, in November, Netflix stepped in and revived the program.

Production is set to begin later this month, with most of the new scripts already completed. Filming will take place in New Mexico.

Longmire will likely return for a fourth season on Netflix during the later half of 2015.
