CBS has released a plot synopsis for the next episode of The Big Bang Theory, which is titled The Leftover Thermalization. In this episode, a magazine will credit Sheldon as the lead scientist on a paper, causing tension with Leonard.

"Friction ensues when a magazine fails to mention Leonard in an article about the paper he co-wrote with Sheldon," the synopsis reads. "Also, a blackout at Mrs. Wolowitz's home leads to a final family dinner in her honor."

This episode is slated to air next week, Thursday, March 12 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.

The Big Bang Theory featured a touching tribute to the late Star Trek actor Leonard Nimoy during last night's episode. After the episode, the show put up a still photo of Nimoy, who played Spock on the beloved sci-fi series, with a heartfelt message underneath: "The impact you had on our show and on our lives is everlasting."

Nimoy did not physically appear at any point on the sitcom, though he did lend his voice to one episode in which Sheldon dreamed that his Spock action figure had come to life.

There is also a recurring gag on the series of the friends playing "Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock."

The Big Bang Theory airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
