The new drama "Made In Jersey' premieres on Friday, Sept. 28, on CBS and here are what some reports are suggesting viewers should expect.

Martina Garetti, played by Janet Montgomery, is a Jersey-girl who becomes a big Manhattan lawyer. The first problem she is set up to solve is murder and the cases change each episode. A Philly.com news critic, Ellen Gray, put it in other words.

"Martina quickly emerges as an eager legal eagle, the kind who brings her assistant coffee and hits the streets to investigate cases," she said. "Not everyone at her new firm's impressed with the wisdom she's gleaned from the Trenton D.A.'s office and from growing up in a family of beauticians, but she should fit in just fine between 'CSI: NY' and 'Blue Bloods.' "

Montgomery is a British actress who some remember from her role in "Black Swan." CBS has high hopes for "Made In Jersey," however, the show is starting off with not such great reviews.

The Hollywood Reporter called it "cliche-ridden and predictable, the show about a Manhattan lawyer from the Garden State is as simplistic as it sounds."

"Some shows come out flat and lifeless no matter what the actors bring to their characters. Often this is reflective of a premise that just doesn't have a lot of meat. That seems to be the problem with CBS' tepid new drama Made in Jersey, though there probably are a lot more underlying reasons," they continued on to say.

Garetti is supposed to be relatable to viewers - a hard worker trying to make it in the business world but with a loving, and big, family that she can always fall back on for support. In that area, "Made In Jersey" succeeds but it might end up to be "one-note," the site reported.

The show also stars actors Kyle MacLachlan, who plays the founder of the firm where Garetti works, and a cop-turned-company investigator who becomes friendly with Garetti, played by Felix Solis.

Watch the pilot episode on Sept. 28 on CBS at 9 p.m. and let us know what you think.
