The highly anticipated CBS mini-series The Dovekeepers is nearing closer to its premiere and CBS' YouTube channel is now giving a glimpse into the various sets.

Cote de Pablo Gets Serious In New 'Dovekeepers' Promo

Monday night, the CBS YouTube channel uploaded a video of Diego Boneta, who portrays Amram in the mini-series, giving a set tour of the barracks.

Boneta's character is a star warrior in the Jewish army at Masada so his tour of this particular set is very appropriate given he's spent plenty of time there.

"We are currently at the warriors' barracks, which is where the Masada warriors trained and had all their armor and weapons," Boneta explained while the camera panned to various set props of armor and weapons.

He divulged this set is "very important" to his character.

"War is his life," he dished, adding, "He fights for his faith, he fights for his family."

Boneta is shown on set filming scenes, including one where he appears to draw his sword, as he demands attention from those surrounding him.

The actor showed "the main room where the main warriors keep their armors."

The camera panned around showing the various swords, spears and shields.

"This is my first time doing a period, epic piece, "Boneta admitted.

He said, "it's really inspiring" to film in Malta where many other period pieces have been shot.

The Dovekeepers premieres on March 31 at 9 p.m. ET and concludes on April 1.

Each night it will run for two hours.
