The next episode of Survivor: Worlds Apart will feature a tribe switch, likely causing the game to shift in dramatic ways.

Will New Season of 'Survivor' Recapture 'Cagayan' Success?

Next week is a two-hour broadcast of Survivor on CBS, with two episodes airing back-to-back. Now, CBS has released a plot synopsis for the episodes, titled Winner Winner, Chicken Dinner and We're Finally Playing Some Survivor, respectively.

"Tribes drop their buffs in a switch that will shake up alliances," the synopsis reads. "Also, one castaway struggles after receiving a blow to the head, and another castaway's desire to flex his power in the game could be his greatest weakness."

Jeff Probst Say Next Episode of 'Survivor' May Be 'Best Of The Season'

As is the case with all of the three-tribe seasons of Survivor, the three tribes of White Collar, Blue Collar and No Collar will likely be consolidated into two tribes. And with the plot synopsis saying that alliances will be shaken up, this does not bode well for strong groups like Joe Anglim-Hali Ford-Jenn Brown on No Collar, Dan Foley-Mike Holloway on Blue Collar and Max Dawson-Shirin Oskooi on White Collar.

The synopsis also alludes to an injury that seems to take place at one of the challenges. This was shown in the preview, with Sierra Dawn Thomas yelling "She's bleeding!" about someone yet to be revealed. Could this be a game-ending injury for one of the female players in the game?

Little else has been revealed about next week's two-hour block, but host Jeff Probst told Entertainment Weekly this week that it may be the best episode of the season coming up, by his estimation.

Survivor: Worlds Apart airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
