Speaking to Collider the actor dished about being part of the epic franchise, particularly highlighting his delight at getting to work with Trevorrow, and how his kids were psyched about his involvement.

"It's both of those things. It feels great because you're there. It's a really good script, and Colin Trevorrow, the director, is just a really great guy. He really brought it," he said. "I just knew immediately with him. I loved his movie, Safety Not Guaranteed, so I knew I was in really good hands. You're right, you walk around these sets and you see something from one of the other movies, and you're like, "Oh, shit!" It's exactly the way you think it would be. It has this real cool factor to it. It was cool because my 22-year-old and my 15-year-old were able to come and visit set, hang out and see the park. The 7-year-old is too young to get it."

First Look At Jurassic World T-Rex Toy Revealed

Last month, details about D'Onofrio's character in the film were revealed. Hoskins will be charged with the security detail of the park. He will be responsible for "safety without condition [and] vision without limitation." There is also a special clip which gives sufficient information on Hoskins.

There are stills with a whole lot of ammunition backing him up, and it also features a quote by him:

"Jurassic World is a global destination, and that comes with a certain set of risks. Our job here on Nublar is to work with Asset Containment and park staff to ensure a safe environment for the millions of people who visit every year."

The movie also stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas-Howard, Irrfan Khan, Ty Simpkins and Judy Greer.

The Jurassic Park films are based on Michael Crichton's series of novels about pre-historic beasts being revived by revolutionary gene technology. Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley are co-producing the film alongside Steven Spielberg, who directed the first two installments in the franchise. Irrfan Khan and Ty Simpkins also star in the movie.

The film will hit theaters on June 12, 2015.
