Every March the NCAA brackets are unveiled for the basketball tournament and the CBS soaps took part in their own basketball tournament Friday.

Last Thursday before the madness went down between the two CBS soap casts the bracket seeds were announced for the "pop-a-shot bball tournament".

The Young and the Restless cast that participated in the tournament were Sean Carrigan, Joshua Morrow, Bryton James, Lachlan Buchanan, Melissa Ordway, Hunter King, Amelia Heinle and Melissa Claire Egan.

The Bold and the Beautiful cast that participated in the tournament were Don Diamont, Darin Brooks, Jacob Young, Lawrence Saint-Victor, Katherine Kelly Lang, Heather Tom, Karla Mosley and Reign Edwards.

Friendly competition was shown amongst The Young and the Restless cast. Carrigan told Morrow to "Bring it" since they were paired to play against each other.

Friendly competition was also shown between the rival soaps. Egan posed for a fun photo with Mosley and captioned it, "When work and childhood friendship collide!"

Egan and Heinle were paired to play against each other and Egan lost to her costar.

"I lost!!!! To my sweet Amelia. First the Emmy, now basketball...." Egan tweeted while sharing a photo of herself alongside Heinle.

Despite losing to Heinle the team spirit was still present as Egan posed with Heinle, Ordway and King to show off their "TEAM RED" pride.

The Young and the Restless Twitter shared a photo of Buchanan, King and Ordway with smiles on their faces as the competition heated up.

James knocked out Buchanan and went on to face Carrigan before facing off against King. He wound up winning against her too, which led him to the finals against The Bold and the Beautiful's Diamont.

Diamont and James even tied with a score of 52 to 52, which called for a rematch.

James walked away as the champion therefore winning for The Young and the Restless!

The rest of The Young and the Restless cast were thrilled for their victory.

"You got skills man!" Buchanan tweeted to James.

James posed with his trophy.

The Young and the Restless airs on weekdays at 12:30 p.m. ET on CBS.

The Young and the Restless will be pre-empted on Thursday and Friday due to CBS coverage of the NCAA tournament.
