Monday news broke that Nate Ruess of fun. joined The Voice as an advisor for the current season.

BuzzFeed reported the musician will be joining the show starting March 23 when the Knockout Rounds begin.

On Monday, The Voice's YouTube channel uploaded an exclusive video of Ruess chatting about joining the show as an advisor.

The video opens with Ruess and coach Adam Levine practicing their golf swings.

"I've golfed with Adam before and he talked so many times about how much he loves being a part of the show," Ruess revealed.

"And I thought 'Oh cool. Maybe I'll get to hang out with Adam and then we'll get to run and go golfing,'" he added.

Ruess revealed The Voice is a big deal so of course he was up for coming onboard.

"Then I got on the set and it's as good as golf," Ruess divulged.

"It's awesome!" he excitedly added.

He also said he was nervous to be in front of the cameras, but now he loves getting to help other artists grow.

At the end of the video he even jokes with one of Christina Aguilera's contestants, "I want to steal you for my team!"

On Twitter Monday, Ruess said, "This is gonna be (sick)!!" with an emoji face with a medical mask on in regard to his coming onto The Voice as an advisor.
