Kim Kardashian Narrowly Avoids Sex-Tape Co-Star Ray J
Kim Kardashian narrowly missed a potentially awkward moment in front of her family and paparazzi.
The reality star was dining with her family at a Miami restaurant until her sex tape co-star and ex-boyfriend Ray J appeared on the scene.
When the 31-year-old tweeted her location to her Twitter followers, not only did a group of photographers swoop in right after to snap pics of the Armenian clan, but her sex tape partner Ray J also arrived.
An eyewitness told the account of the near run-in to New York Post: "Kim and Kris Jenner posed for pictures in front of the restaurant to allow Kourtney and son Mason to sneak out the side entrance unnoticed. And just by a few moments, Kim missed Ray J, who was seen entering the restaurant to meet a large group of friends including boxer Floyd Mayweather."
The 31-year-old was dining with several members of her family - Bruce and Kris Jenner, Kim, her sisters Kourtney, Khloe, Kylie and her best friend Jonathan Cheban.
The group held court at Prime 112 restaurant in Miami on Sept. 30 to celebrate the nine-year anniversary of the death of her father, Robert Kardashian.
Ray J recorded a sexual romp with his then girlfriend Kim in 2003. When the sex tape went public in 2007, Kim became a star overnight and landed the reality show gig with E! several months later.
Kim is in Miami filming a spinoff with her older sister Kourtney for "Kourtney & Kim Take Miami" which is set to air in January, 2013.
While she is taping the show, her boyfriend, rapper Kanye West, has been spending the past week in France attending Paris Fashion Week.
According to the same report, the couple may be taking a break. Another source told New York Post that the couple, dubbed "Kimye," are "cooling off" because "he's getting tired of the constant press and promotion. He's not as tight with her as he was."
A source close to the Kardashian clan addressed the reports of the run-in and separation.
"The family did have dinner, but they never saw Ray J or Floyd. And there's no truth that Kanye and Kim are cooling off."
West made headlines recently when he mentioned his girlfriend's sex tape on the song "Clique" from his latest effort, G.O.O.D Music's "Cruel Summer."
"Eat breakfast at Gucci. My girl a superstar all from a home movie," West rapped.
Radar Online reported that her mother Kris Jenner was "furious" and disapproved of the mention.
"She thinks it's a disrespectful claim and told Kanye to stop talking about it at every given opportunity. As far as Kris is concerned, the video with Ray J is history and since then Kim has become a reality TV star, a fashion designer, even a philanthropist - so she's moved on.
In an ironic twist, someone is reportedly shopping not one, but two sex tapes starring West with a Kardashian look-alike.
