Actress Raven Symone has followed up on the controversial statements that took place on The View earlier this week.

The child star guest starred on the episode where a certain issue involving a fashion expert and the First Lady of America was brought up; Univision host Rodner Figueroa compared Michelle Obama to the cast of Planet of the Apes.

As the ladies at the table discussed this, there were some disagreement taking place. Rosie Perez made it clear that she thought Figueroa's comment was racist while Symone didn't think so.

On the show, Symone said, "Michelle, don't fire me from this right now, but some people look like animals. Is that rude?"

The actress actually thinks that she looks like a bird.

Symone then took to Twitter to give more of her insight on the situation.

"Some comments are rude, some are disrespectful, and some are racist. Try not to exchange one for the other," she wrote on Tuesday.

Later that day, she tweeted, "My opinions/comments arn't based off race, that doesn't mean i'm trying to be a different race all together. I love OUR history, family...."

She then posted another tweet on how there's so much diversity in the United States.

"We have Irish Culture, African Culture, Asian Culture, Indian Culture Many more running through the veins of AMERICA! Come on yung peeps"

On Wednesday, Symone wrote how it's okay to stand by certain thoughts that are expressed.

"Make a statement, and stand by it: power to you! Don't forget about being respectful to your fellow man, is the only comeback I have," she tweeted.
