They seemed to be conquering both distance and a considerable age gap, but things have officially fizzled between American Sniper actor Bradley Cooper and his model girlfriend Suki Waterhouse.

According to E! News, the pair has called it quits, at least for now, though no reason for a split has been given.

The couple were first linked back in March 2013 when they were spotted together in Boston, and made their debut on the red carpet when Cooper, 40, took the 22-year-old as his date to the New York premiere of American Hustle in December of that year.

The couple have since made several appearances together, attending the Screen Actor's Guild and Academy Awards together in 2014, as well as the 2015 Academy Awards ceremony just last month, where Cooper was nominated for a Best Actor award for Sniper.

Despite making some appearances as a couple however, the couple was generally intensely private about their romance, with Waterhouse even telling Elle U.K. back in 2013 that she had no intentions of really talking about her love life.

"I don't talk about my boyfriend because it's boring," she said at the time. "At least, that's what I decided to tell you when you asked. I do think whatever I say will sound weird. But the truth is, if I start talking about him, I probably won't be able to stop. And I don't really want to talk about him, you know?"

Neither Waterhouse nor Cooper's reps have released an official statement about the split.
