Brennan's (Emily Deschanel) father Max (Ryan O'Neal) will be further explored in an upcoming episode of Fox's Bones.

Brennan's Second Pregnancy Played For Comedic Effect On 'Bones'?

Deschanel spoke with TVLine recently about a fan question regarding Max potentially hiding secrets from daughter Brennan. The actress confirmed that this will be addressed on the show at some point.

"Yes, we get to the bottom of and explain certain things from my childhood," Deschanel explained. "Max lies to me again and doesn't tell me where he's going, and I get very suspicious. But then things are revealed that help us understand certain things about Max, his history and my history with him."

O'Neal appeared in the latest episode of Bones, titled The 200th in the 10th, and has appeared sporadically throughout the series.

In the mean time, Brennan and Booth (David Boreanaz) will be dealing with their own set of problems in the weeks to come.

According to show runner Stephen Nathan, several "big changes are afoot." The show boss told TVLine recently, "We will be dealing with Booth's gambling problem, and it will have repercussions for Booth and Brennan's marriage that will not be easily resolved."

The next episode of Bones is titled The Psychic in the Soup and will feature the return of Cyndi Lauper as Avalon Harmonia. The episode involves Brennan and Booth delving into "the twisted world of fortune tellers."

Bones finally returns for the second half of season 10 on Thursday, March 26 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
