Hannibal's Red Dragon will be particularly busy in the final episodes of season 3.

Is The Stag Gone For Good On 'Hannibal'? Bryan Fuller Talks Fate Of Ailing Creature

The NBC series is currently filming episodes 310 through 313, and it sounds like Richard Armitage's Francis Dolarhyde will use the cloak of darkness to track his victims as the season winds down.

Series creator Bryan Fuller has penned a large number of exterior night shoots as of late, according to boom operator Sean Armstrong, and Fuller recently explained why.

"THE GREAT RED DRAGON HUNTS AT NIGHT," Fuller tweeted.

If there were any confusion as to who Fuller was referring to, Armstrong poked fun at Armitage's murderous Tooth Fairy as filming ended on Friday morning.

"Off to bed after another night of #Hannibal exteriors," Armstrong wrote. "Oddly, three crew are missing and [Richard Armitage] left in quite a hurry."

It sounds like Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) and Co. will have their hands full. The profiler's traumatic life will see a reprieve as the series makes a mid-season multiyear time jump following Dr. Lecter's (Mads Mikkelsen) European adventure, giving Will a chance to find love. However, Dolarhyde's exploits will serve to drag Graham back to gruesome crime scenes once more.
