Tom Cruise's split with Katie Holmes has dominated tabloid headlines for months, but this isn't his first high-profile divorce from an internationally famous actress.

One the same day new court documents revealed details about Cruise and Holmes' separation, Cruise's second wife Nicole Kidman opened up about the depression she suffered when that marriage broke down.

Kidman spoke about her marriage to cruise in the latest issue of the Australian magazine Who, which features Kidman on the cover in a stunning red dress.

"I got married really fast and really young," Kidman said. "But I don't regret that because it got me [my children] Bella and Connor and I did have a fantastic marriage for a long period. Then when it didn't work out I had to really dig deep and find my way through depression. I have no regrets about all of it. It was all part of growing up."

Kidman also cleared up rumors that she offered help to Holmes as she was preparing to file her divorce papers against Cruise.

"I never spoke to her. I wish all of them well, but I was not involved in any of that," Kidman said.

The 45-year-old Australian actress thought she couldn't have children during her marriage to Cruise, which led to the couple adopting their two children Connor and Isabella. It was not until she married country star Keith Urban that she had her first biological child, Sunday Rose Kidman Urban, in 2008.

"I had so much time thinking that [having a baby] wasn't going to happen in my life and trying to understand that. When it did happen - and for it to be a surprise - that was great," she said. "I had tried and failed and failed and failed. Not to be too detailed, but I've had an ectopic pregnancy, miscarriages and I've had fertility treatments. I've done all the stuff you can possibly do to try get pregnant."

Kidman and Urban had their second child, Faith, using a surrogate mother in 2011.
