As filming for season 3 of Beauty and the Beast is almost through, Enstars rounds up all we know about the plot of this chapter so far.

Actor Anthony Sherwood will be joining the cast of Beauty and the Beast playing a new character, Detective O'Hara in the season 3 of the CW series. SpoilerTV reported this information, although no other details were revealed. It seems like Sherwood will play the second new detective. TVLine had previously that Tess (Nina Lissandro) won't be Catherine's partner as she rejoins the NYPD. Instead she will be paired up with a new character, Harris, who will be in his late twenties and will apparently not be very pleased to be working with her because of her infamous past. Not details about who will be playing Harris have been revealed yet.

E!Online reported that they have it from a good source that one of the prime characters will be in a life-and-death situation, and be admitted in the hospital. The report went on to state that it would not be Tess. This leaves Catherine (Kristin Kreuk), Vincent (Jay Ryan) and J.T. (Austin Basis).

Tess's older brother, Jamie, will also be introduced in season 3 and he is expected to play chief commander and rough up Tess's beau, J.T. some. TVLine reported this exciting bit of news on August 28, revealing that The CW show was already busy casting for Jamie's role. He will be an "overbearing lawman" who will step in to help the sister out, but is quite the authoritarian and disciplinarian. Jamie will be tough on J.T. but only bring out the best in him.

The Wrap revealed that Degrassi star Charlotte Arnold will be guest starring as Marissa, "a distraught Midwestern beauty who finds herself in desperate need of help after her stockbroker husband begins displaying strange, violent behavior." The report stated that the actress will be guest starring in the premiere episode of the next chapter of The CW series.

Vincent and Catherine will be paying a visit to the marriage counselor in season 3. In September last year, TVLine revealed this juicy bit of information about the show. The report stated that they will seek the help of the counselor "to balance their different careers with their relationship."

The executive producer of the CW series, Brad Kern, has also spoken about the what fans can expect from the next chapter of the show in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

Kern revealed that season 3 would focus on Catherine and Vincent's love. "Now that we have the loyal audience, the goal is to make it more Cat-Vincent centric," he said. "We'll continue to build the mythology. Everything else will service and work around that love."

In an interview, Austin Basis, who plays J.T. on the show, spoke about how his relationship with Tess would play off of Vincent and Catherin's relationship on the CW series. He suggested that the couples will have more to figure out as they navigate a steady love life with the grave dangers that surround them. Basis suggested that this will also push them to work independently more as a unit of two.

"Everyone's kind of been a team of four and now they are two teams of two. I think that will be fun to see," he said. "Learning from the mistakes of the path that we've gone down before, the writers and the show to stick to the heart of the show about Vincent and Catherine and their romance and how their romance is tested."

Season 3 of Beauty and the Beast will premiere on May 21.

The season 2 finale, Deja Vu aired on The CW at 8 p.m. on July 7.
