Dancing With the Stars fan favorite Derek Hough recently spoke about some of new partner Nastia Liukin's best qualities in addition to some challenges.

New 'Dancing With the Stars' Pair Reportedly Dating

Hough appeared on Live With Kelly and Michael last week where he praised Liukin and discussed the difficulties of this season in particular.

"Her strengths...her flexibility," Hough said when asked about Liukin's strengths. "She can put her legs in crazy positions and her back. But, it is going to be challenging because we're traveling back and forth and have very little time together. It's a double edged sword [for us]."

Both Hough and Liukin and traveling back and forth between Dancing With the Stars in Los Angeles and other commitments in New York. Hough is the male lead in the New York Spring Spectacular while Liukin is still in school.

The dancer added that, "We're just both excited and privileged to be a part of this season and want to put on some good shows."

Hough's first week with Liukin on Dancing With the Stars resulted in a score of 30 out of 40 from the judges. Performing the Foxtrot, the couple ranked at no. 3 for the night, behind just Riker Lynch and Allison Holker and the night's top scorers Rumer Willis and Val Chmerkovskiy.

For Week 2 Liukin and Hough will be dancing the Rumba to Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran, a performance that will likely be very passionate and emotional.

Dancing With the Stars airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
