One of stars of ABC's Castle recently revealed that the Castle (Nathan Fillion) vanishing arc will be revisited in episode 20.

Beckett Scared She's Not 'Make A Difference' In The World on 'Castle'

Castle star Seamus Dever (who plays Det. Kevin Ryan) spoke with TVLine recently and revealed that the vanishing arc is coming up again very soon.

"There is, of course, the one that everyone has been hanging on, waiting for, since the beginning of this season - 'What happened to Castle? Where did he go for those three months?'" Deve said. "That's going to be exciting to get back into [in Episode 20], because what's cool about that is Espo has always been in the camp of 'I don't believe his story,' while Ryan always been [more open-minded]. It's fun to play that balance of, 'Oh my God, is he lying? Is it the truth? How could he do this to us?' Or believing him."

'Castle' Star Still Uncertain About Show's Future

The storyline will be fully explored in the episode, with Dever teasing that it will also leave a little bit open-ended for future episodes.

"Oh no, it gets into it significantly," he said. "And as all Castle episodes do, it offers a little bit of finality and then leaves the door open for what's next."

As for the topic of whether or not the show will be renewed for season 8, Dever admitted that he does not know what's going to happen. He said that no one has talked to him yet about season 8, and the show's stars have yet to sign new contracts going forward beyond season 7.

Castle airs Mondays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
