Brennan (Emily Deschanel) will be very worried about her father Max (Ryan O'Neal) in an upcoming episode of Fox's Bones.

Brennan's Second Pregnancy Played For Comedic Effect On 'Bones'?

Fox has released a plot synopsis for an upcoming episode of Bones called The Putter in the Rough. The 14th episode of the season, The Putter in the Rough features the Jeffersonian team exploring the world of mini-golf while Brennan is concerned about Max.

"The Jeffersonian team unravels an unexpectedly competitive world of mini-golf as they try to figure out the murder of the sport's superstar," the plot synopsis reads. "Meanwhile, Brennan is worried her father Max is reverting to his criminal tendencies and 'squintern' Wendell Bray (guest star Michael Grant Terry) enlists Hodgins [T.J. Thyne] to help him fix his girlfriend's family heirloom."

Brennan Considering Less 'Dangerous' Jobs on 'Bones'?

Deschanel previously spoke about Max's return to Bones, revealing to TVLine that Brennan becomes very suspicious that he is lying to her again.

As for Hodgins and his storyline, Bones show runner Stephen Nathan spoke to TVLine this week and revealed that they would be revisiting him losing his fortune.

"This absolutely is something we'll be dealing with," Nathan said, noting that he might not need the money. "Hodgins will come into some money of his own making, and it will change [his and Angela's] lives."

The Putter in the Rough is scheduled to air on Thursday, April 16.

Bones returns on Thursday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
