After Bow Wow threw fans for a loop when he implied he and Love & Hip Hop New York star Erica Mena got married in a secret ceremony, their rep has spoken out and confirmed whether they are really husband and wife.

They told Hip Hollywood that reports of them typing the knot are "not true." They explained that Bow Wow posting a series of pictures of Mena in a wedding gown are simply "screen shots from an upcoming episode of 'Love & Hip Hop.'"

Still, that doesn't explain Bow Wow giving her his last name, Moss, in one of the posts earlier this week.

But it wasn't the first time he had done so. He has also called her "my wife" before and referred to her son as his "stepson."

Considering Mena's engagement to Bow Wow is a part of her new storyline, it's possible that she was only trying on wedding gowns as she and the rapper prepare to get married.

At least the future spouses will know that their fans will support them if they were to secretly tie the knot. Fans took to Bow Wow's picture to congratulate the couple.

Bow Wow has said that he and Mena met back in 2006 when she made an appearance in his Fresh Azimiz video. They reconnected after she was supposed to play opposite him in the hit movie Lottery Ticket. But their sparks really began to fly when she co-hosted a Valentine's Day special of BET's 106 & Park with him last year. They kissed on live television and that seems to be the beginning of their romance.
