Longmire has always had deep roots in the Native American community, and it looks like the Netflix drama might just be diving deeper into racial prejudice and divides during a standoff this season.

Apparently a big scene is coming up involving the Native American community and Sheriff Walt (Robert Taylor). A standoff will take place at the Absaroka County sheriff's cabin.

Who's on the offensive? And Will there be casualties? There will certainly be enough people involved to warrant at least a little bloodshed.

Today Media Network revealed the nature of the scene on Wednesday when it announced that popular crime drama is actively seeking Native American actors between the ages of 20 and 40 for the sequence. The fact that Netflix is already casting for it suggests that this scene will take place in either episode one or two this season.

Sherriff Walt's territory sits beside a Native American reservation, which has given the series an opportunity to explore a area which is rarely depicted on television.

The series is also known for casting Native American actors in key roles, which is an infrequent sight when it comes to primetime programming.

Production for the show's fourth season began in Santa Fe, New Mexico on Monday. It is expected to continue in New Mexico and Nevada over the next few months.

Longmire is expected to return for a fourth season on Netflix sometime this fall.
