Fans Are Worried About 'Bachelorette' Andi Dorfman's Health: Is She Too Thin?

Just one year after splitting from girlfriend Tenley Molzahn, Locke, who previously starred on ABC's The Bachelorette, has announced he and girlfriend Samm Murphy are expecting their first child together.

"I've always looked forward to being a dad. It's something I've been so excited about," Locke told Us Weekly on Wednesday. And he couldn't be happier with his partner. "Samm is an amazing woman -- she's an athletic, active, intelligent woman running her own business. She'll be an amazing mom," he added.

Tenley Molzahn & Kiptyn Locke Break Up

Murphy, 29, runs her own medical distribution company, and appeared on the reality show Opposite Worlds. She and Locke began dating after meeting at a charity event in Los Angeles last year.

Prior to Murphy, Locke dated Molzahn, whom he met during 2010's Bachelor Pad. For four years, the couple had an up and down relationship, but have reportedly kept in close contact since their May 2014 split. In fact, Us Weekly reported the former couple lives within a few blocks of one another in San Diego, Calif.

"We're still the best of friends," Locke said of Molzah.

At an event earlier this week, Locke told the magazine, "I want to have kids badly, and I will."

Murphy is due this summer.
