Despite Fox's Bones being a full 10 seasons in, star Emily Deschanel does not see any signs of slowing down.

Deschanel, who has now been playing Dr. Temperance Brennan for 10 years, told TVLine recently that there is still hope for a Season 11.

"Yeah. I feel like we still have stories to tell. We're still going strong. I would like to see where we take it. I think there's a strong possibility of a Season 11," Deschanel admitted. "We have not been picked up officially. There's a lot of factors that they're trying to figure out. But I think everyone's interested in continuing to tell the story. I don't know how much longer after Season 11 it would go, but it'd be nice to explore it for at least one more year."

Bones has been pushed around the Fox schedule for years, airing on all different days of the week for various seasons. The series is now returning for its Season 10B premiere Thursday night, with 11 straight episodes slated to air week to week.

The Season 10 finale of Bones is scheduled for June 4.

As Deschanel said, the show has not yet been picked up for an eleventh season, though it is still a modest hit for Fox in terms of viewership, so if the writers, Deschanel and the rest of the cast want to continue with the show, there is no real reason to stop now.

Bones returns for the second half of season 10 Thursday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
