Thursday's Grey's Anatomy's episode called With or Without You will touch on Dr. Owen Hunt's (Kevin McKidd) mother returning to Seattle and landing herself in Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital.

Entertainment Weekly dished on Wednesday that McKidd revealed some insight about his character's relationship with Dr. Amelia Shepherd (Caterina Scorsone).

"Owen and Amelia are not a couple yet, so it's interesting to see how that plays out between them," he said, adding, "Amelia and Owen's mom actually hit it off very quickly. They like each other and become fast friends. Owen is the odd man out in the whole situation."

Scorsone added that her character and Owen are realizing that they have "a real connection and it should be treated as such.

"She meets his mom and she likes her immediately. She's just a great broad and Amelia really appreciates her sense of humor. They've got a lot of similarities actually. It tells her a lot about who Owen is," Scorsone said of her character.

While it is nice that some romance is blooming at Grey Sloan, it might be short-lived since Dr. Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) gets involved.

In the April 9 episode called Crazy Love, Meredith learns of the romance growing between Owen and Amelia and decides to share her two cents with Amelia according to the press release.

Meredith's butting in leads to Amelia rethinking things that have been ongoing with Owen.

Grey's Anatomy airs on Thursday nights at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
