A case pending against actor Tony Jaa has caused a prohibition on the screening of Furious 7 in Bangkok.

According to the Bangkok Post, the Civil Court has affected a ban has been put on the film, which is set to premiere on April 1 in Bangkok. This reason is a breach of contract between Jaa and Sahamongkol Film. The actor was bound by a contract with the company for 10 years, and could not legally work with another studio until 2023. By participating in Furious 7 he broke the law. The report also reveals that the defendants in the case are Panom (Jaa), Universal Pictures, which produced the film, and the distributor, United International Pictures Far East Co. 

The report adds that the actor is willing to negotiate with Sahamongkol and is grateful to the company for helping him earlier on his career.

Jaa is a new cast addition to the Fast and Furious franchise, and is mostly known for his action stunts. Little is known about Jaa's character in the film, he will be playing the part of Kiet, and will most likely be playing for the good team, Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and friends. 

In June last year, director James Wan posted an image with Jaa, in which both are seen sharing an intense karate moment together, on his Twitter account, to announce wrapping filming with the actor for Fast and Furious 7.

In his caption, Wan describes Jaa as a "badass cat" and the "sweetest human being:"

"And that's a wrap on Tony Jaa at 5am. The most badass cat ever. Who also happens to be the sweetest human being.#F7"

Furious 7 will hit theaters in April 3, 2015.
