A season 4 renewal had not yet been confirmed for Orange Is the New Black, as Netflix has not officially announced that it will return for season 4. Regardless, this is great news for fans of the show as a renewal announcement may be imminent.

The actress was asked about the overwhelming success of the show, which has become one of the highest viewed shows on Netflix and won multiple Emmy Awards.

"It's wild," she admitted. "I have never experienced anything like it to be honest and I have been acting for over 17 years. This has been such a unique experience. I am super grateful."

Manning also said that she has "learned a lot" about the LGBT community through OITNB, praising the progress we have made as a nation.

"I have seen a shift in morale, in a sense, with gay rights finally coming together and people who truly love each other can now find that union and be married," she said. "It is really quite profound. It is time. There is that aspect to it, but then working around so many diverse women is so incredible. Everyone's wisdom is very different and unique. I learn new things everyday I work with them."

Season 4 will likely be released next summer on Netflix.

In the mean time, Orange Is the New Black season 3 is released Friday, June 12 on Netflix.
