Newcastle vs Manchester United takes place Sunday with the Red Devils looking to keep the pressure on Chelsea at the top of the English Premier League table. The match kicks off at 11 a.m. ET and can be watched online through live stream (link provided below).

Chelsea’s win on Saturday means they have moved seven points clear of United, although the Reds have this game against Newcastle in hand. They will see it as essential to get three points today to close the gap back to just four points.

However, Newcastle away is always a difficult prospect and if Manchester United continue their stuttering form that has plagued their early season then they could drop more points today.

Newcastle sit mid table with nine points from their opening six games, and will be eager to claim a confidence boosting win today and move up the table.

Newcastle will be able to welcome back into their side defender Davide Santon, midfielders Jonas Gutierrez and Hatem Ben Arfa, and striker Demba Ba. All were rested midweek for Newcastle’s Europa League match against Bordeaux, which they still easily won 3-0.

For Manchester United Antonio Valencia is still out with an ankle injury and will miss this game. However, Michael Carrick and Ryan Giggs are both set to return following an illness that kept them out during this week’s Champions League match.

This could potentially become Manchester United’s worst start to any Premier League campaign in history. They have already lost two of their opening six games, and if they lose today it would be a third defeat in their opening seven games - something they have never experienced before since the English Premier League era began. The last time they suffered such a poor start was in the 1989-1990 season, and that year they only managed to finish the season mid-table.
