On Saturday, Mirror reported that Bieber's ex-girlfriend may have been part of the reason why comedians were so tough on him during his Roast on Comedy Central.

Comedian Jeff Ross has allegedly revealed that he got tips from Gomez ahead of time.

Ross was asked whether he researched dirt about the celebrities has has roasted when he responded, "I did actually, I even talked to Selena Gomez."

If there is any way to get under Bieber's skin it would be going to his on-again-off-again ex-girlfriend for dirt.

"I ran into her and asked her for advice on roasting the Biebs, and she said, 'Tell the truth. That always worked for me,'" Ross said.

The two had been dating for four years before calling it quits last October, and their relaitonship was definitely a focal piont during the show.

Ross had said during the show: "Selena Gomez wanted to be here but she's dating men now."

"Is it true you dumped her because she grew a moustache before you? Selena Gomez had sex with [you]... proving Mexicans will do the disgusting jobs Americans just won't do," Ross said to Bieber during the Roast.

After several comedians tearing him apart, Bieber took the opportunity to apologize.

"I lost some of my best qualities. I'm looking forward to being someone to be proud of. Someone close to me once said how you rise from a fall is how you are truly defined as a man," Bieber said.
