'Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 2' News: 'Part 1' Leads At Kids Choice Awards [VIDEO]
The Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 1 picked up a bunch of big awards at the 2015 Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards.

Mockingjay Part 1 won Best Male Action Star for Liam Hemsworth's portrayal of Gale Hawthorne, Best Female Action Star for Jennifer Lawrence's portrayal of Katniss Everdeen, and Best Movie. Part 1 has generally been a winner this past month, paving a red carpet for the sequel, Mockingjay Part 2. The movie also came out on top for the week's home video release sales.
Variety reported that the movie took the honors, but in all honesty the competition -- with films like Big Hero 6 and Outlander -- wasn't rough for the week ending March 8.

In other recent news, it was revealed that Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 1 will feature as part of Epix's recently extended deal with Amazon. Deadline reported that the Epix's studio partners like Paramount and Lionsgate, had extended their contract with Amazon, and this would include movies like Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 1 and Transformers 4 Age of Extinction.
Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 2 stars Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson (Peeta Mellark), Liam Hemsworth (Gale Hawthorne), Woody Harrelson (Haymitch Abernathy) and Elizabeth Banks (Effie Trinket).
The DVD for Part 1 was released on March 6.
Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 2 will hit theaters on November 20.
