The mystery of who murdered Tom only continues to seem more unsolvable on Secrets and Lies, and before a killer is finally revealed, things will only get more intense-and possibly, even a little more dangerous, for Ben Crawford (Ryan Phillippe).

A Vigilante Seeks Justice Against Ben

In an interview with Buddy TV, KaDee Strickland, who portrays Ben's wife, Christy on the addictive ABC thriller, teases that as bits and pieces of the truth behind all of the mysteries taking place behind the scenes on the couple's suburban street continue to emerge, things will only become more threatening when it comes to Ben's safety.

The most recent episode saw Ben get kidnapped by his vigilante stalker in an attempt to use torture tactics to get him to confess to the crime, and Strickland admits that it adds a new sense of urgency and threats to every character's lives-especially those of her and her two children, who were placed in protective custody during the episode.

Nobody Knows Who Killed Tom

"Oh, terrifying. That's a very-for me that was an easy circumstance to imagine, but you'll see-you'll see a lot happen with ben in these next few episodes and you'll see the response of the family and the extended family and other people that are involved in other parts of our private lives and how they support the situation or sort of exacerbate the situation," she said, "It's a difficult place to be in as a mother and the kids. Everyone feels a sense of threat, urgency and danger, which I think can be fun for the audience to watch."

In addition, she also revealed that while she can't say who actually murdered Tom (they shot multiple endings to prevent anyone from accidentally spoiling the ending), she can promise that viewers will see the overall toll the case has taken on Ben and Christy's marriage.

"The truth is it's unthinkable to go through the public humiliation of finding out your husband fathered a child with someone else on top of already having a complicated marriage," she said. "Finding that out and being able to stay together is a feat that kind of feels almost unimaginable, but Ben and Christy, I think, are parents first."

"Now, that's where we are so far in the series," she continued. "You're gonna see a real ebb and flow in their marriage and it doesn't get any less complicated. If anything, it gets more complicated, but by the time the series ends you'll see these people come full circle in their relationship."

Secrets and Lies airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on ABC.
