She was axed from The View after only one short year as a co-host, but Jenny McCarthy has no interest in returning to the daytime talk circuit, despite being asked if she was interested.

In an interview alongside her husband, Donnie Wahlberg, on The Howard Stern Show, McCarthy admitted that since her exit last year, she has been asked back-but she turned it down.

In fact, McCarthy even predicted that the show, which has seen a major ratings decline in the past year, would be done after another year and would end on a more tragic note.

"I think that might try one more year and then I think the Titanic might go down," she said.

Her husband then piped up and revealed that she had been asked to come back-something he says he told her would happen after her last day on the set.

"She's very gracious about The View and I will say, I told her the day she left, 'They're gonna ask you back within six months," he said. "And she won't say it, but they did. Not officially, but they did."

Stern asked if was true, forcing McCarthy to fess up that she had been asked if she'd be interested in the opportunity, but she admitted she no longer wanted to be a part of it because being on Daytime would force her to stop being herself-something she has been free to do since premiering her radio show, Dirty Sexy Funny on Sirius XM last fall.

"One of the producers called and said 'Would I ever consider it?' And I said, 'No, thank you,' because I couldn't be me," she said. "You called it from the start, I couldn't be myself."

And while McCarthy did admit that it felt good to know she was wanted back, she loves being on Sirius too much to go back to TV.

"I couldn't be happier here Howard," she said. "I've never been more happy with a job in my entire life than being here. I get to be myself."
