Batman (Ben Affleck) and Superman (Henry Cavill) may make a gesture for peace in the highly anticipated Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

'Batman v Superman' Star Jason Momoa Talks New Concept For Aquaman

Cavill appeared at the Empire Awards on Monday where he spoke in an interview via HenryCavill.org (video featured below) about Superman's interaction with Batman in the 2016 film.

While Cavill did not say anything about Superman fighting Batman in the film, he did confirm one thing.

'Batman v Superman' Will Be More Realistic Than Marvel Movies?

"There is a firm handshake at some stage, yes," Cavill confirmed.

While this may not be a huge deal (after all, it's just a handshake), it could also mean that Batman and Superman come to an understanding by the end of the film and agree to stop fighting.

However, it could also just mean that they shake each other's hands upon first meeting each other. Either way, it has fans excited considering there hasn't been much information about the film at all. Some will just be excited to see the iconic heroes interacting with each other in any capacity on the big screen for the first time.

Cavill also admitted in the interview that he has not put on the Superman suit since last November.

In addition to Affleck and Cavill, Batman v Superman stars Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Diane Lane as Martha Kent and Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is scheduled for release in theaters on March 25, 2016.
