Sources close to Malik have revealed that allegedly the singer has become influenced by rapper Drake and now he is eager to start new music of his own.

On Saturday, Hollywood Life reported that the singer has been listening to a lot of the rapper's new music and apparently he wants to produce a new rap album that will rival Drake's music.

"Zayn has been listening to a lot of Drake - he's always been a big fan," the source said. "He's hoping that some of the magic will rub off on him, and he'll be able to put together an album to rival his inspiration in the R&B charts."

Last week Malik was spotted visiting a recording studio in West London last week and rumors have been taking over the Internet ever since.

According to the site, the singer has already started working with producer Naughty Boy and apparently he's been working with the music producer since last year.

In an interview with The Sun, Malik confirmed that he was working on new music that includes "a range of new sounds" and the singer is also doing some rapping. Malik said that while he may be working on new music, he says that he isn't in a rush to release anything.

The singer has been working on producing a new sound and it looks like he's ready to start branching out on his own.

"I feel like I've let the fans down but I can't do this anymore," he said. "It's not that I've turned my back on them or anything, it's just that I just can't do that anymore because it's not the real me."
