'The Walking Dead' Cast Reveals Information About Season 6

"So having the show set in Los Angeles [and] at a completely different time as walkers are beginning to take over the world... The idea, much like our show, it's really about the relationships and about the families and how they handle it and deal with it, so it's fascinating."

The first teaser has been also been released and the video hints at the idea that the series will take place before a huge zombie apocalypse occurs that will eventually wipe out most of the population.

In the video, which can be seen below, a newscaster announces that a virus is taking over the land and he encourages everyone to take the necessary precautions to take care of themselves.

The companion series will be set in Los Angeles and has already received a two-season order from the network. Season one will debut in late summer and will consist of 6 one-hour long episodes while season 2 will air sometime next year.
