Netflix vs Amazon vs Hulu: Who's Winning The Streaming Service Battle?

Bloodline, which began streaming on Friday, March 20, already has an order for season 2. Netflix announced Tuesday that the show has been renewed and will return to the streaming site in 2016.

Actress Dishes On Putting Family First On 'Bloodline'

Many Netflix users have become hooked on the show which centers around the very dysfunctional Rayburn family, who live in the seemingly peaceful Florida Keys. However, much darkness is hiding under the surface.

Bloodline comes from Glenn Kessler, Todd A. Kessler and Daniel Zelman, who previously helmed FX's critical darling Damages. The creators spoke to HitFix before the series was released about what it's like to work in the Netflix model and how that might have affected Damages back when it aired.

"If this had existed at a time when 'Damages' first came on, potentially it would have allowed people to experience it differently . . . I have no idea what that would have done to viewership, but that show is one that does benefit and it's on Netflix," Glenn said. "So it's interesting we do get some feedback from people who watch it that way. And this is where we are now and there's a reason and it's because the audience is very sophisticated and very engaged."

All 13 episodes of Bloodline season 1 are currently available on Netflix.
