The Vampire Diaries has a wedding on its way since Alaric (Matthew Davis) popped the question to his pregnant girlfriend Jo (Jodi Lyn O'Keefe).

On Thursday, TV Line revealed some scoop straight from the impending bride.

O'Keefe said she keeps "waiting for that moment" when her character isn't alive anymore since that's the usual for guest stars on The Vampire Diaries, but for now Jo will remain living, pregnant and ready to tie the knot.

Who Is Nina Dobrev's Favorite Costar On 'The Vampire Diaries'?

With the wedding approaching, O'Keefe shared while she hasn't received that script yet, she does think her future husband can have Damon (Ian Somerhalder) as a best man since they've all been through so much.

O'Keefe also touched on how Jo's pregnancy will have Elena (Nina Dobrev) reflect a lot since as a vampire having children isn't possible.

"I think Jo is going to be how she's always been with Elena, which is very supportive. She'll want her to think it through and decide what's important to her, and make sure she makes any decisions based on that," the actress dished, adding, "Jo has been, and will always be, a voice of reason for Elena, and whatever choices she makes, Jo will support them. I think Jo really does adore Elena, and she just wants to be a support system for her."

Plus, Bonnie (Kat Graham) brought the cure back with her from her journey through the prison worlds and Damon has possession of it, but it's unknown right now if he'll give it to Elena or take it himself or pass it off to another vampire.

"I wonder if her life as it is now is what she ultimately wants, or if she wants the kind of life she previously had with those other options. It's tricky," O'Keefe shared while discussing Elena and the cure.
