The Real Housewives of New York is back and Bravo is hoping that they'll be better than ever. Returning stars LuAnn de Lesseps and Kristen Taekman opened up about the new season and how it's going to be full of fun and friendship and maybe a little drama too.

According to Reality Tea on Friday, Lesseps said she is very excited about former Housewife Bethenny Frankel's return and how she helped bring some good old vibes to the cast.

She said, "I'm very excited about the upcoming season and personally, I was happy Bethenny was coming back," declares de Lesseps. "We're friends, have history together - with both good and bad moments - and that adds some depth to the season. We reminisce a lot about the past, so true fans of the show will really enjoy that, I think."

Taekman meanwhile hints that while everyone got along for the most part this season, there is a bit of friction between her and Frankel. While she didn't say much, she did say that Frankel does bring "a whole new dynamic to the show."

De Lesseps adds that her on-screen relationship with fellow co-star Sonja Morgan will have its "ups and downs" this next season as she did manage to grow closer to Ramona Singer. Taekman meanwhile hasn't been able to patch things up with Singer, but they are supposedly on speaking terms, which is a good step in the right direction.

She said, "I don't know that Ramona and I will ever be best friends, but we have a mutual respect for each other."

The Real Housewives of New York airs on Bravo this Sunday.
