The 100 is gearing up for season 3.

'The 100' Season 3: What's Next For Emerson? EP Talks Sole Mount Weather Survivor

The CW series will head back to the writer's room on Monday in preparation for the return to the studio this summer.

"Production starts July 15th. Writing starts Monday!" series creator Jason Rothenberg teased on Thursday.

The 100 concluded the Mount Weather storyline during "Blood Must Have blood: Part 2" but still managed to leave viewers with a series of intense cliffhangers. From broken relationships to emotion burdens to Alie the deadly AI, writers will have plenty of problems to play with during season 3.

"The magic Eight Ball says YES," Rothenberg informed fans when asked if The 100 will reveal cause of the apparent nuclear holocaust that rocked the planet 97 years ago. It even sounds like https://twitter.com/JRothenbergTV/status/581532805626097664 the origins of the Ark may be addressed as Rothenberg hinted at more Ark flashbacks, "but not in the way you're imagining."

Meanwhile, Clarke is suddenly of on her own, left to walk off the heavy weight of her Mount Weather massacre. In need of some time to "decompress," there is no telling what new dangers the young leader will encounter over the hiatus.
