Jennifer Love Hewitt found got more pain than gain when she injured herself getting in shape for her next role.

The star of Lifetime's "The Client List" broke her wrist while boxing over the weekend.

Love Hewitt was boxing as a part of her fitness training in preparation for her return to the Lifetime show.

The former "I Know What You Did Last Summer" actress took to Twitter on Saturday to talk about the injury saying: "Guess who broke her wrist yesterday boxing to get fit for season two! I will be spending the weekend resting in my pjs."

"Thanks for all the concern about my wrist," she Tweeted. "Has slowed me down but hasn't stopped me."

Love Hewitt officially announced the broken wrist on Tuesday with a light blue cast on her right arm.

"The Client Lists" stars Love Hewitt as Riley Parks, a single mother in Texas who makes extra money as a high-class call girl in a massage parlor. It's a tough role as playing a high-class prostitute requires a lot of work to maintain a tight body which viewers can appreciate.

The actress has shown that she is determined to look her best for the next season of "The Client List." The show has garnered mixed reviews from critics. The review from the Chicago Sun-Times says, "(The Client List is) equal parts sex and silly... I can't bring myself to sit through more of this silliness to find out if there's a happy ending."

It's unclear at this time how Love Hewitt's injury will affect the production on season two of "The Client List." Currently the show is expected to return to Lifetime in 2013.
