Bloodline has a strong ensemble of actors, including Kyle Chandler and Sissy Spacek, but which ones will go on to receive Emmy nominations?

'Bloodline' Star Reveals Why Florida Keys Was Such 'A Difficult Mistress'

With the TV season soon coming to a close, Emmy buzz is starting to creep up for many shows and actors. While Bloodline is untested in terms of Emmy awareness, the show has a high pedigree cast in addition to having the producers of FX's Damages, a big Emmy-friendly favorite.

Chandler, who plays John Rayburn in the series, has perhaps the best chance of scoring an Emmy nomination this summer. On top of his performance being strong, he is a previous Emmy winner for his work on Friday Night Lights and with the Drama Lead Actor category relatively empty without the likes of Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston and True Detective's Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey, he could get in pretty easily.

'Bloodline' Star Linda Cardellini Reveals What Was Most 'Uncomfortable' About Florida Keys

Ben Mendelsohn, who plays Danny Rayburn, has been talked about as the MVP in the show's rich ensemble. He has many complicated layers in his performance and has the meatiest material to work with overall. However, lack of name recognition may lead to an unfortunate lack of a nomination. If voters love the show he should get in easily though.

Spacek did not have much to do in the first half of the season on Bloodline, though her performance as Sally Rayburn got richer and richer as the season progressed. Considering her status as a veteran actress in addition to her sympathetic character, she could be a contender. However, the Drama Supporting Actress category has many contenders from other shows that could potentially get in over her.

Sam Shepard could potentially get into the Best Guest Actor in a Drama Series category. Playing Robert Rayburn, he only appeared in five episodes of the season and therefore qualifies for being a guest performer if he wishes to campaign there. He could also get into the Supporting Actor category as well, since he too is a veteran actor with name recognition.

Linda Cardellini, who plays Meg Rayburn, could go either way in terms of a nomination. She just received her first Emmy nomination in 2013 for her guest appearance on AMC's Mad Men, so she is at least on their radar. She is a relatively well known character actress and her role as the overworked sister trying to keep her family together could resonate with voters.

Norbert Leo Butz, who plays Kevin Rayburn, may be overlooked assuming Mendelsohn and Shepard campaign in the Supporting Actor category. While Butz has had a lot of material to work with, he does not have the same level of critical acclaim as his costars. However, if voters go crazy for the show it is always possible that he could show up too.

The Emmy nominations will be read on July 16.
