Miley Cyrus has not had a major television role since her Disney series "Hannah Montana," with her recent "Two and a Half Men" appearances aside.

The singer and actress was reportedly in negotiations to star in a television mini-series remake of "Bonnie & Clyde," however, new reports are stating that Cyrus is no longer in the running for the coveted female lead role, and could it be because of the recent spat she had with her fiance Liam Hemsworth?

Cyrus was in talks of playing Bonnie Parker from the 1967 classic film in the four-hour mini-series, in development for the History and Lifetime channels. The project is being led by "M*A*S*H" executive producers Neil Moran and Craig Zadan.

It has not been confirmed whether her recent disagreement with Hemsworth had anything to do with her stepping back from the coveted role in the mini-series, but in any case, Cyrus already has a upset fiance to deal with back home.

Enstarz previously reported that Hemsworth asked Cyrus to delete her Twitter account after he believed she had made direct "insults" to him and described his "emotional short coming" in her recent tweets. An insider added that the tweets just made Hemsworth pull away from his fiance.

The specific tweet that sparked reports about Hemsworth's hurt was written on Sept. 13. It said the following:

"Ever feel like you want just.... something more. not sure what exactly... passion perhaps? Sometimes i feel like i love everyone more than they love me. hatttte that feeling. Thought of the day: maybe it's not that they love you less, they just love you the most they are capable of loving."

Cyrus did not delete her account though, and on Oct. 10 she tweeted, "Everything that I understand, I understand only because I love. - Leo Tolstoy" followed by "Ive got some serious thinkin to do.... #decisions."

Will Cyrus make a good Bonnie Parker? It seems like fans will never know.
