'Teen Wolf' Season 5: Kira Faces 'Tough Challenges' With Scott, Teases 'Darkest Season Yet'

MTV has released the first promo for season 5, giving viewers a cryptic look at this summer's big bads. An apparent trio of doctors with a penchant for torture will make their debut in Beacon Hills this June, and they won't be particularly kind to Scott's (Tyler Posey) unorthodox pack (see video below).

"It's very much about our teenagers becoming adults and heading into their senior year," series creator Jeff Davis said of season 5, according to TV Line. "But as always, we bring in some new mysteries and new monsters. I think this season is very much about the line between science and supernatural."

The promo doesn't give any close up shots of Scott's new enemies, but Holland Roden (Lydia) has described the villains as "eerily human," according to Clevver.

"They're creepy as s-t, just very still, but they get their point across," Posey explained.
