Scott McCall (Tyler Posey) spent the last five seasons rising to power via virtue and a desire to keep Beacon Hill’s safe from a never ending laundry list of supernatural threats, and the teen will continue to grow as a leader during “Creatures of the Night.”

“Scott’s continuing his growth of being a bada-- and owning his power, you know?” Posey said of the premiere, according to Entertainment Tonight. “The first episode does that very well and it’s f-cking awesome so, yes, it’s going to be great.”

While Scott is currently the guiding light for his pack of werewolves, banshees, kitsunes, and humans, season 5 will not be all sunshine and happiness for the high school senior.

"We're going to test Scott in big ways," series creator Jeff Davis informed Buzzfeed. "He's done very well as a leader, but what happens when he fails? What happens when everyone's faith in him is tested? He's going to go through a lot of difficulty this season.
