While Love & Hip Hop New York was Mena's claim to fame, she chose not to attend the actual reunion because of tension and drama with her cast mates. But she did have a one-on-one interview session with the franchise's executive producer and creator Mona Scott-Young.

She opened up about what her eight-year-old, King, thinks about the wedding and Mena's romance with Bow Wow (real name Shad Moss).

She got choked up before she said, "I wanted my...I stood in the abusive relationship for so long...The way they love each other... I just wish they found each other so much [sooner]."

When asked if she was "excited" about becoming Bow Wow's wife, she smiled from ear-to-ear and confessed, "I absolutely am. It's more than excitement. It's going to be a summer wedding. Location, it's looking like Atlanta so far."

As far as her former relationship with Rich Dollaz, Mena said that there's no chance they can ever be friends.

"I really wish him the best. I just hope he gets it together because he's not getting any younger."

She went on to dish on why she has chosen this time to move on from Love & Hip Hop.

"I'm gonna have a lot to explain to my son when the time comes. It took me to see myself to know that I was hurting."

She added that she could never say she would "Step away from reality TV completely."
